An update. More posts to come?

Well here I am.. Over a year since my last post. I simply cannot/refuse to believe that this year is already in its 5th month. It's true that the older you get, the quicker time flys. I don't like it much.

2015 was one of the best years of my life. scrap that. The best year of my life so far. I'm not sure if I have people that even read these posts if I am honest.. If I ever did I am sure they are long gone by now. But I will use this blog as another form of a diary. Because looking back on one of my past post that was a rant from a long day now truly warms heart. Here's why.

Back in November 2014 I wrote a blog post after a very long day of dance auditions. This is the post which would lead the the most rewarding year of my life. That day I had an audition for Mamma Mia on one of Royal Caribbean ships- The Allure Of The Seas. Have a quick read through it if you want this post to make even more sense. Little did I know that 3 months later I would get an email telling me the news I had completely forgot to wait for. I got the job! I flew out just a month later to start rehearsals in Miami for the shows Mamma Mia and Blue Planet on THE BIGGEST SHIP IN THE WORLD as an Ensemble member, Dancer and an Aerialist.

I think I will do a few blog posts about being on the ship. Rather than trying to squeeze them in to one. I was away for 10 months after all!

Even if you have no interest in anything I have said so far (not sure you would still be reading tbh.) If you take away anything, take away this.

Everything happens for a reason. What was one of my most stressful days turned out to bring me the greatest year of my life. When I wanted to give up and go home, I didn't. I am not a religious person, though I respect each and every religion as it is. But I do believe in fate. This is some advice I need to take for myself actually.. After 5 months of unemployment there comes a point where you start to question everything you know shouldn't even be questioned. Is this really for me? What if it takes another 5 months? Will I last that long? But I cant turn back. I can't give up. I can't imagine looking back for the rest of my life thinking what if? What if I had tried that little bit harder. Stuck at it that little bit longer.... Giving up is never an option for me.

Do what you love and you will love to be you.

We got this.

Stay tuned for more posts from the unemployed dancer that has far too much time on her hands.

100 years.. Lest we forget.

2014 marks the 100 year anniversary of the beginning of the 1st word war. RIP to all of the brave men and women who lost their lives fighting for our country. I went to visit the poppy display at the tower of London a few days ago. here are some pictures of a truly beautiful sentiment.

Christmas sales Haul! x

Hello beautiful people! Happy new year!! this year has generally been a pretty good one for me, although there have been some tragedies along the way, i feel like i have excited more than failed this year :)
i hope you have all had the year you had hoped for, and if not, then Here's to 2013. my life is going way too quick right now!
to finish off 2012 in the perfect way, i am going to do a haul on some bargains i have picked up in the Christmas sales.. yay!!

New Look.new look is one of my fave places to shop when it has sales on, although i very rarely go in there otherwise! there sales are just too good to resist and never disappoint me!

                                                                      £9 reduced from £19.99
I actually got these shorts on 2 separate shopping trips. i first bought the grey pair on a whim without trying them on, and i did have my eye on the blue pair but my size wasn't available. i got home and tried them on and, i must admit, fell a little bit in love.. i then went shopping again today and saw the navy pair in my size so snatched them up straight away! i honestly cannot wait to rock these, the high waist is just the right height and they fit like a glove. i could have probably got away with going a size down because they are so stretchy.. although thinking about it i don't want to be flashing Too much bum cheek ;)

Brown ankle boots-£10.00      Burgundy Chain heels-12.00

like i said in my last post, i will soon be turning 18 and so i thought it a perfect time to stock up on some heels. and what better time to stock up on heels than when there are huge sales everywhere?! to be honest, my mum actually picked both of these out, otherwise i don't think i would have spot them. but once i tried them on, they were mine! they're both really comfy, the brown ones will be nice for something more casual like going to a bar or pub, and the Burgundy ones are perfect for anything more dressy. the colour is also gorgeous

 H&M
H&M is another place to find a great bargain or 2. i actually had a £25.00 gift card so i ended up paying nothing for these 2!
£10 reduced from £25 (i think)
I haven't taken this slouchy baby pink knit jumper off since i got it! its so soft and effortless and with jeans and a pair of uggs or docs it just looks perfect. you cant really get the true colour of it by this picture.. but I'm sure you will see it pop up in an outfit of the day some day soon!

£15 reduced from £25 or over (sorry my memory is awful!)

Absolutely LOVE this dress, and i was so close to buying it full price but didn't as there wasn't my size there, a week later and what do you know, its in the sale! the picture isn't really don't it justice as the material is a purple velvet leopard print. the front can open up low to show a bit of cleavage if you lucky enough to have any, i for one, do not, so i will probably be using the little popper to make it a little less revealing on me. never the less this looks absolutely gorgeous on, and would have been my NYE dress if i had somewhere to go!

before you look at these and are about to go and get them, NO, these were not in the sale unfortunately ha ha. actually i got them from my dad for Christmas and completely forgot to include them in my Christmas haul Here.  i have wanted a pair of docs for about 4 years now but have never had the guts to actually get them, but now i have them i couldn't be happier! these along with my uggs are literally my only everyday form of shoe wear for now and i can guarantee for the rest of winter. In Love. £105

(my hat is from a market stall ages ago, and i absolutely love it. although its annoying because i can only really wear it if i have straightened my hair! )

Happy new year, i hope your doing something more exciting than me! what have you bought in the sales?

A Theatre trip to see Priscilla!

Before you begin to read this post,if your not into musicals, drag queens or glitter, this contains plenty of all three ,so feel free to skip to my next post if things like this don't interest you, not everybody's gonna have the exact same interests as me:)xxx

ONE WORD- Absolutely amazing, best theatre show iv seen, kinda makes me want to be a drag queen (Not sure if that's normal?)
Ok so i might have got a little carried away with that '1 word',but there is honestly no other way to discribe this musical.

So, for my main Christmas present from the mother,we went to see Priscilla,i love the film so my expectations were high, and seeing as I'm somebody who goes to a dance/musical theatre collage, going to the theatre is completely up my street.

We set off to London at about half 1,As we wanted to do some shopping,or more like 'browsing' before the show started at half 2. i only live about a 20 minuet train ride from London, so that was plenty of time for us to dribble at the designer shops before the show began.

As it began to get dark (which is about 3 o clock in England at the moment ) the Christmas lights became more visible, and they were so pretty. made me feel really Christmasy i must admit! in covent garden they had pinky purple lights down every little street, and there were Christmas songs playing in the shops which was rather lovely.

Now obviously i couldn't take pictures when we were in the theatre ,but it was seriously tempting as the theatre was beautiful and the scenery even before the performance had begun was so detailed. i did, however, get a brochure, which has some beautiful pictures of some of the scenes. so i thought I'd take a picture of them so you can get an idea how visual the scenes and costumes are.

All in All, the cast was brilliant, the costumer were absolutely amazing, they had so much detail and were so colourful( as you would expet ;) and it was defiantly the best theatre production I've seen, and I've seen quite a few..e.g.
  • billy Elliot
  • fame
  • stomp
  • Le miserables
  • nutcracker
  • wicked
And I'm sure there is a few I've missed out.

If you love musicals as much as i do,Then I'm certain you will love this. i don't know one person that's seen this and not loved it!
